Great Community Easter Egg Hunt   April 23rd, 2011   11 am to 1 pm   Location: Behind North Country Kids/ Tot Lot2000 filled easter eggs for your children to gather up with some special prizes for the best hat/costume and easter dress. Lots of Easter activities and games as well as food and photos with the bunny. Come along with all your children and join in the fun. This is a free event and everyone is very welcome. Donations for prizes/ food/ egg fillings will be accepted at North Country Kids until April 21st.

Rose Dining Room at Stafford’s Perry Hotel.   Models, original newspapers and artifacts will be on display as well as table settings representing the first, second, and third class dinner settings.  The event includes a six course dinner and a performance by Stafford’s Society Band. Titanic historian, David Kaplan, will do a visual presentation of the ship, its events and the affect it has had on history.
Petoskey Easter Egg Hunt    April 23rd, 2011     Office: Family Fun
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM   Location: Emmet County Fairgrounds
Thousands of children and parents are expected to attend the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Emmet County Fairgrounds, sponsored by the YMCA of Northern Michigan and Emmet County Parks and Recreation, on Saturday, April 23, 11:00 to 2:00.

One of the YMCA’s signature events, the Easter Egg Hunt involves games, age-appropriate crafts, egg decorating, and face-painting. Children may have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, and everyone will go home with candy, prizes, and crafts. Typically the event draws over 3,000 people.

“It’s a great day for the whole community,” says Jen Crockett, program director for the YMCA.

The cost is $5 per child, and is free for accompanying adults. Snacks and lunch concessions will be available.
